I first launched DappCentral.io as way to experiment with one of the most exciting project on the Steem Blockchain...@SteemPress. The idea that there would be a perfect 2-way integration between Wordpress and Steem is absolutely fabulous.
Martin Lee (@howo), approached me to be one of the first to actually test the 2-way integration. So I went ahead, followed his instructions, connected http://dappcentral.io/blockchain-technology/5-steem-dapps-to-pay-attention-to-in-the-next-6-months to the 2-way integration...AND IT WORKED!
If someone were to come to my website and click on the upvote button, he would be prompted to go through SteemConnect and complete the action.
My Review
Sign-Up Module
I know it's kind of early to critique this first version of the 2-way integration but actually, it's not a criticism of SteemPress. There is a problem with SteemConnect...it doesn't allow for registration. So it's great now that people can participate to Steem via my blog but if all they get is a request to login when they don't have an account, we don't get the benefits of potential signups.
I think that SteemPress should have it's own branded sign-up module built on top of SteemConnect login technology. That way, just like Disqus, you can get people to sign-up to participate in the conversation.
As we are developing TokenBB we are facing a similar issue, registration will be an issue for third-party applications on the Steem blockchain and rather than each developing a solution, we should get our head together and figure out a solution.
User Interface
For now it is a quite primitive looking comment section but I'm confident since the technology side of things has been figured out that the user experience will be improved. I'm really proud of what SteemPress has accomplished.
Conclusion
The future is bright for this project. I can't wait to meet them in SteemFest and get our heads together to talk everything Steem related. If you have a blog and want to get on the SteemPress bandwagon, I can't recommend it enough.
