In a world where new information arises with high frequency, a strategy that articulates a strong approach towards data collection and standardization is indispensable. One possible model for robust data collection is crowdsourcing, that has become an active area in the data management. The rise of mobile crowdsourcing has paved the way for blockchain platforms to gather data using this method. Dataeum sets a goal to create a global framework for authentic physical data collection based on a reward system.
Objects of interest
As the project proposes, human actions, such as traveling, buying behaviour, etc., can all contribute to physical data collection. Network members can participate by providing transparent and accurate data related to physical objects, in particular, stores.

In addition to data collection, Dataeum will offer companies as well as local authorities a possibility to obtain a license for data usage. Equally, it will be possible to gain data ownership. Data collection and verification
Data processing will take place at three stages: data generation, verification and revision. Once the data have been collected, they are then verified and made available for the market players.

Alpha version of the mobile application is already available. Its main objective is to gather information on physical stores, e.g. work area, store hours, location, contact details, etc. The collective efforts of the participants will generate a primary data entry. Processing of data will be completed with verification. To ensure that all data and information collected are complete and relevant, collectors will be encouraged to update the information.
To accomplish this task, augmented reality will recognize visual data to be captured. Certain game elements will be introduced to the system to increase the pace and intensity of collaboration.
Reward calculation
For exact identification of individual data output, issued data will be converted with specific algorithm into collection value (CV) rates. For the primary data input, collectors will be rewarded with 70% of the CV. Data verification will be rewarded with 30% of the CV. Additionally, each collector will receive a quality score for their work. Those participants, who establish a high level of trust, will be offered with attractive incentives. While CV establishes the rating criteria, another unit, a market value (MV) will allow for data value calculation for the rental purposes.

Dataeum is willing to launch an ambitious project, that is a data marketplace powered by blockchain. As the central feature of their digital strategy, Dataeum relies on crowdfunded data.
