University of Nicosia presents Decentralized 2018 where vast knowledge about blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies are explained in detail. University of Nicosia is the first university in the world to embrace blockchain education and research; that is to say, it is the first university to offer MSc in Digital currency and it also accepts tuition payments in Bitcoins.
Decentralized 2018 is one of the greatest crypto/blockchain conferences organized by University of Nicosia from 14th to 16th November in Athens, Greece.

Roger Ver went to Oxford University where he studied physics in 1998, at Palo Alto California. He also went to Deanza College from 1997 to 1999 where he studied Astronomy, Economics, and Math.
At the age of nineteen, while Mr. Ver was still in college, he began his career by founding MemoryDealers.com. The company quickly grew under his leadership, employing different people around the world. This company is progressing until to-date.
Mr. Ver later saw an opportunity in the market for fibre optic transceivers which is used in networking subsystems. In July 2014, he founded Agilestar.com which became a leader in optical transceivers all over the world. Until to-date, hundreds of company use these optical transceivers and are thousands are sold every year.
He heard about Bitcoin for the first time in 2011 and because he saw a bright future ahead, his company MemoryDealers started accepting Bitcoin as a means of payments. He later became the first person to invest in Bitcoin startups because he saw bitcoin as a means of economic freedom.
July 2012, he became the Co-Founder and an investor of Blockchain.com in London. Roger Ver invested in blockchain at its early stage when it was still being used on a Mac mini. Currently, blockchain.info is the most well-known Bitcoin and Ethereum wallet.
November 2014, he became the CEO of Bitcoin.com
Llew Claasen (Director at Bitcoin Foundation)
Llew Claasen went to the Da Vinci Institute from 2006 to 2008 where he studied MSc in the management of technology and innovation.
August 2003, Mr. Llew became the Co-Founder of Clicks2Customers. IncuBeta is one of the leading marketing which focuses on search engine marketing. It employs over 60 talented search marketers and technologists in Los Angeles, London, and Cape Town.

December 2017, Mr. Llew became the executive chairman of Dala Foundation which is a new cryptocurrency that provides a zero fee and borderless financial system for market consumers. Dala is independent of all local currencies and cryptocurrencies.
The Dala ecosystem enables enterprises and consumers to save, invest, transact and lend with Dala. This is expanding through partnership across borders and financial services.
August 2014, Mr. Llew became a Managing Partner at Newtown Partners which is a blockchain advisory service and investment company with teams working out of offices in Cape Town, South Africa, San Francisco, US.
June 2016, he became the Executive Director of Bitcoin Foundation which is the largest and oldest Bitcoin advocacy organization in the world, incorporated in Washington DC, US.
The Bitcoin Foundation helps to create awareness of the benefits of Bitcoin and it also coordinates the efforts of the members of the Bitcoin community.
Garrick Hileman (Head of Research Blockchain.com & Co-Founder Mosaic.io)
Mr. Hileman went to the University of Washington where he studied a bachelor of accounting, international political economy. In 2015, he went to London school of economics and political science where he studied Doctor of Philosophy (PhD.)
Mr. Hileman is well-known for his research on distributed systems innovation and monetary, particularly blockchain and cryptocurrencies.
Mr. Hileman is regularly invited to share his research with government agencies, for instance, the US Army, CIA, Naval War Colleges, among others. He is also invited to share his research with the media, for instance, CNBC, FT, BBC, among others.
He is frequently sought as a speaker, and he was recently ranked as one of the 100 most influential economists in Ireland and the UK.
Mr. Hileman also published and created the CoinDesk “State of Bitcoin” and “The State of Blockchain” reports from 2013 to 2016. His other research interests include financial repression, sovereign debt, black markets, financial crisis, among others.
