CrowdStrike is a cyber security firm that's recently been in the news after President Trump referenced connections between the company, the Ukraine, and the DNC (insinuating that the company is friendly to Democrats). A quick look at its revolving door staff shows a few more Democrats than Republicans. CRN's Michael Novinson looked up the top political campaigns hiring CrowdStrike. Since the company began offering its services to political campaigns and committees in 2011, Democrats have accounted for 87.8 percent of that part of the company's business, while Republicans have accounted for 11.2 percent.
The two most prominent revolving door employees at CrowdStrike are Shawn Henry and Steven Chabinsky, two former FBI executives. Their connections to the Bureau likely prove invaluable for their new corporate employer. Henry retired from the FBI in 2012 and was excited to continue "his fight against cyber attacks from outside government, where such work often ran into bureaucratic, jurisdictional and legal constraints." Other employees of note include Matt Russell. Part of his job description while working for the US Army was to "develop inter-agency relationships necessary to secure resources." Of course, experience securing government resources is one of the best reasons to hire revolving door personnel.
