Where there is perceived financial opportunity, people will rush to it. The information spread quickly that anyone can get free Deep Onions through DeepPoints. This helped a lot of people who had limited amount of money to invest in cryptocurrencies. These cheaters created multiple accounts and started farming for DeepPoints. Some created Facebook groups to farm “likes” in the Deep Onion forum. Moderators spent a lot of time checking activities, finding and banning cheaters and removing spams being generated in the Deep Onion forum.
The Deep Onion team gave several reminders and warnings not to abuse the DeepPoints system. They gave enough chances to cheaters to change their ways. Because the cheaters were persistent in their abusive ways, the Deep Onion team took drastic actions. The unnecessary waste of man-power being caused by the cheaters on moderators has forced the Deep Onion team to change the rules rewards for DeepPoints. By next DeepPoints airdrop, only posts in the DeepDomination forums will be counted.

It is a pity that cheaters have almost killed DeepPoints and ruined it all for the rest of the rule- abiding members. We can however still look at this in a positive light. DeepPoints has served its purpose in generating excitement, marketing, and promotion to Deep Onion. DeepPoints also helped a lot of new members get Deep Onion for free. DeepPoints will continue to live in the domination tasks and will continue to help market Deep Onion online.
