I have always loved old school cartoon characters, and they were mostly the first things i drawn in my childhood, and they make me remember many enjoyable moments, mostly watching TV in those really old TV screen that was a pain to carry to another place. In this post i'll create an illustration of some of the first cartoons i saw on TV (that i can remember) the Angry Beavers, putting some background and making some fancy details here and there to make the illustration the most awesome as i can.
One thing to consider before i start is that i always take in consideration my composition, it doesn't have to be anything very fancy, its mostly to know where my characters are in the canvas and making them a different value from each other, then i will add the color and details to make them unique and make them believable in 3D, i think in this painting in particular because they're so cartoony i need to find a way to make them have a personality and attitude, telling a story, and making them interact with each other.
The most important thing in this painting personally i think are the brushes because they're the ones that gives them more of a traditional look in my opinion, and that is really what i'm looking for, and making interesting shapes in the entire painting so it feels more unique.
