Hello dear community, hello dear readers 🤗
For those who don't know me, my real name is Christian and I occasionally post here on Hive/Ecency about my offshore life, my trading with prop firms, the Financialbirds (Rosakakadus) or Warhammer. Greetings to @zakludick .
My last post was almost 5 months ago (see link), so it's time for an update.

So that I don't have to write a post for every topic, I'm dividing this post into four sections --Trading
-Offshore life
-Cockatoos
-Warhammer
I'll also add some pictures to keep you motivated while reading. Otherwise, take your time, grab a tea/beer/coffee and listen to my words.😬
Let's begin.
Trading
In January, I managed to get a funded account with FTMO, which means that at the end of the month, if I close the account with a profit, I get 80% of the profit credited to my account. If I manage to put the account into drawdown, I lose the account (that's the rough plan). It only costs me a one-time fee of X (varies depending on the provider) and you have to go through two phases to become funded. (They have to earn something somehow.)
Now it's June and what can I say? From January to April, I made just ca 750 euros.
In May, I ended the account in the red, but not in drawdown, and now, on 11 June 2025, I'm about to lose the account. Is it dramatic or sad that this is the case? Not really! Why? Well, I know that it works and I have made profits, and opening a new account is inexpensive, but you have to go through the two phases again. Before I do that, however, I will analyse my setup with the help of AI and see what adjustments I need to make to get back on track.
I have here only 99 Euro left on this account to work, so i guess its almost impossible to changed that XD
Offshore Life
From January to February, I was mostly at home. I helped out at the company here and there, applied for and picked up visas, and attended a few training courses – everything you need to be ready to work for a company in the offshore sector. In general, however, the winter months tend to be rather quiet in terms of orders, but then it's very busy in the summer.
From March until the beginning of this month, I was only in Bangladesh. I wrote a post about this, but it was more about the wildlife in Bangladesh than the job itself. Since I have to be careful what I write, I would just like to mention a few things that are important.
Visit Bangladesh, but before you jump on the first plane and arrive, be warned: lower your Western standards considerably and forget what you consider to be right and wrong. If it were up to me, I would have flown back on the first plane.
But since I'm not one of those typical Germans who just complain and whine (yes, that's almost a national sport in Germany ;) ), I put aside everything I thought was right before landing and just let it sink in, and I'll tell you what. Since I've been here, I've been even more grateful for what I have here and also grateful that the birth lottery spat me out in Europe in the 21st century. That's not to say that everything is bad in Bangladesh, but ironically, I met a man from Bangladesh in France who was working as a waiter in a Lebanese restaurant.
He told me that he studied and now works as a mechanic here in Europe and works in the restaurant on weekends. It's important to note that people from Bangladesh only have Fridays off and work the other six days.
I don't know what worried me more, all the rubbish in the streets/buildings/rivers/fields or the very, very high air pollution, which made me think I would soon have to dispose of my lungs. Since I had a lot of downtime in this project because the client didn't really know what he was doing, I watched some documentaries about Bangladesh and sometimes things made me very, very angry, especially when I opened the daily newspaper.
Here a dead person, there a corpse, there a child rape, there a mass accident. It was really part of everyday life, and I don't even want to start talking about the children who drown every year in the country. Now I sound like a whiner, but the good thing about Bangladesh is really the diversity of animals I got to see, but also the friendliness of the people was really remarkable, as was their willingness to help.
When they understood English, of course. I could hardly speak their language, which I found a shame, because otherwise they just stared at you. It was really nice, something you hardly ever see in Germany, where everyone is just out for themselves. Here, you are always greeted very warmly, and the food was also very good, even if it was too spicy for me.
I am currently working on a project between the Netherlands and France and will be spending a few weeks here.
Financial Birds / Galah
What can I say about my Galahs? They are still cute, bring us lots of joy, make a lot of noise and a lot of mess.
They are currently moulting and leaving behind so many feathers that you could make a third bird. But it is definitely cute to watch them come to you and then start preening themselves. Unfortunately, the male (Bird 1) is also very keen on finding a nest and defends my wife from me because he realises that I am also a male and she is the female.
He thinks she is his girl and has to stand up to me. The only thing that matters to me here is to stand firm and show no sign of weakness. When he comes to me, I always push him away so that he understands who is the boss in this house, even if it means I walk away with scratched hands. But that's not the norm and usually stops quickly.
Warhammer / Dark Angels
What's new on the Dark Angels front and with my army?
Well, I was able to expand it and got myself the Desolution Squad, which I painted in Bangladesh. I did the fine tuning at home and am not quite finished yet, but they are ready to play Then I went to a Warhammer shop in Berlin just to have a look around, and ended up leaving with a Captain in a jump pack and the new book about the Lions
It is what it is XD
I hope you enjoyed reading this and let me know if you have any questions, suggestions or criticism. I always appreciate every message I receive
On that note, have a successful day
