Hi all,
if you are part of the Legendary Dragons Guild within the Splinterlands game you might have recognized that the Discord Bot that used to display a lot of more or less useful information is down for quite a while. There was a small problem that turned into a bigger one once my main programming laptop quit his job :(
I am working currently to resolve this situation and to bring back the bot and the services that came along with it.
Some remarks to myself, maybe they are useful for others too :)
- Use Github
- Save early save often
- Do not take Laptops on your vacations if you are not prepared to crash them
- Use Github ( or any other tool that offers this service )
The picture coming along with this post is painted by me quite a long time ago for a quite similar incident. Obviously I am not a fast learner ... :)

Aloha zusammen,
wenn ihr Teil der Legendary Dragons oder einer der Nachwuchsgilden seid dann habt ihr vielleicht gemerkt das der nette Monsterbot der so schöne Statistiken und Informationen ausspuckt leider seit einer ganzen Weile down ist.
Das hat mit einigen Problemchen zu tun, die sich enorm verschlimmert haben als mein Programmier-Laptop beschlossen hat die Segel zu streichen und das Display nur noch schwarz blieb.
Ich arbeite daran die Situation wieder in den Griff zu bekommen und den Service in Kürze wieder am laufen zu haben.
Einige Dinge die ich mir gerne hinter die eigenen Ohren schreiben würde
- Benutze Github
- Speichere früh, speichere oft
- Nimm kein Laptop mit in den Urlaub das du nicht bereit bist zu verlieren
- Benutze Github ( oder ein anderes Tool das den gleichen Service bietet )
Das Bild das ich für das Posting benutze hab ich vor Ewigkeiten gemalt, für einen ähnlichen Incident. Es scheint ich bin kein schneller Lerner ...
