I sat in awe at my kitchen table literally watching my basil plant grow. Right before my eyes, tiny little buds were growing into tiny little leaves, which were growing into not so tiny little leaves. In a matter of minutes my basil plant was transforming. Id always thought that plant growth was slow - but here was my little basil plant growing at such a rapid pace that I could see it.
My plant had been sitting in a dark room, with slightly dry soil. Lots of bushy leaves had been trimmed from it the night before (mmmmm pesto). I opened the window and let full sunshine it, then gave my plant a full gulp of water. Im going to give myself the gift of light and water today. Then I'm going to sit back and enjoy watching my growth.
