As the lack of posting on my account might tell you, I have been busy riding my bike around all over the --- lounge room at Mummi and Pappa's place. When the weather is a little better, I am going outside with it and riding off into the sunset like a... umm... postman?
Oh, you want to hear some crazy??
This weekend is another normal Daddy/ Daughter weekend and today (and yesterday) we went off together for coffee. There is a shopping center that we frequent that has a playground that I enjoy a fair bit and after eating and drinking in a cafe, Daddy and I went there to play. It is indoor so shoes are left in these little boxes at the entrance.
So, Daddy and I were playing along there and I was sliding on the slippery dip while Daddy talked to an old client and also a friend of his who happened to be there. We were there pretty late and things were closing up and we decided to leave and guess what?!?
Someone had taken one of my shoes... I thought at first it was probably Lowly worm from the Richard Scarry books (and how cool would it be to have your shoe stolen by lowly worm) but, a little girl came in and said that it wasn't stolen, it got thrown over a railing. When we looked, sure enough, there it was.... two floors down. My poor shoe!!!!
But, what kind of person does that and, by the height of the railing it wasn't a short person like myself. Maybe the little girl who conveniently saw it?
Well, this meant that Daddy had to carry me around looking like a shoeless hobo until we were able to get to my poor little (newly learned to fly) pink kick. You can see both of them pictured together in the photo above. It is pretty ridiculous though that *anyone would do such a thing to such a small little shoe.
Some people have no manners.
Speaking of shoes, yesterday I was wearing my other sneakers that I think are getting a little squeezy for me and I might have to look for more. I love those shoes though as they are so light and flexible and I can move so fast in them. So many of the kids shoes are made for people with wooden legs and mine are mostly jelly.
I only wear shoes outside of course as inside I like to pretend I am a cavegirl because it matches my diet and usually.. my hair too. My hair is growing really fast and I can't wit to let it free (under my helmet) as I ride my bike down the largest hill I can find in Finland.
Oh, Mummi taught me how to ride my new bike super quickly and I have a video of it, but Daddy needs to convert it over or some such nonsense before I can upload it. It is a pretty cool way to teach a kid though. Of course, I still have training wheels as.. I am only 2 and 7 months old - so cut me some slack. I think I will get that video up at some point to teach others, even though I am much better now than when it was filmed.
Well, I think I should get some rest because tomorrow is Mummi and Pappa care day and they require a lot of my time. At least I can go to bed knowing that my shoe is safe and sound in the cupboard.
I will try not to be a stranger though, as some people say you shouldn't talk to strangers and that would make life boring if no one talked to me.
