The Recent Developments In DigiByte
After DigiByte was the first Blockchain tech company to activate SegWit and after announcing that it is one of the participants in the Citi Tech for Integrity Challenge in Singapore, running for one of the 30 awards handed out in the end of July, DigiByte's token gained a lot of momentum, expressed in an astonishing increase in price within a few days. DigiByte's price made an upward swing from roundabaout 100 to nearly 2700 Satoshis.
Soon after the rally started in early June many of the so called greedy, ignorant to facts and uneducated part time Gordon Geckos were buying as crazy and posting all over social media platforms "DigiByte to moon"; speculating on fake news that the winner of the Citi Tech Contest will be announced beforehand on June 9th - what didn't happen, cause it was never meant to happen - the winners will be announced late July, the token lost most of its gains!
All this "Stupidos" or as I call them "weak hands - fully pants" were panic-selling DigiByte tokens as fast as they could!

Now... - at least, after "The Weak Have Left The Building" and the tremendous pressure on DGB's price has stopped, it's time to return to the facts, and why there is still a lot of potential that lies dormant in DGB showing the signs of a possible regain in price due to DigiByte's innovativ power, its increasing infrastructure but also because of its growing and loyal community!
As many of you know, right now we're living in the greatest wealth transition period in history! This knowledge is one of the driving reasons for many investors and VCs to look out sharply, to find the next smart investment they can be a part of.
Don't you ever forget - right now, we're living in times where dreams come true and millionaires are created within months.
My Personal Approach To DGB...
To get an overall view I've looked into DigiByte's whitepaper, its present achievements and its roadmap to find out, if there are more words spoken than work is done?!
I was very much impressed by Jared TATE's (DGB's founder and CEO) „curriculum vitae“, which enabled him to become the personality he’s right now. Being a true believer but also a bright minded and hard working young fellow creating a Blockchain driven company with various smart applications implemented, which are able to serve and satisfy the different needs of its users all around the world.
By trying to define Money in a brand new way... - not just like we're used to, Jared TATE has the vision to change money's usabilty in several different options.
As an Unit Of Account (UOA), a Medium Of Exchange (MOE), a Store Of Value (SOV) but also as a Medium Of Security, where companies as citizens are able to secure everything they want on a smart contract basis in very easy steps! A different form of the usage of money as we know right now.
Features That Illustrate DigiByte's Potential!
- Already implemented SegWit
- The usage of Multialgos which allows five different mining algorithms, creating a much safer and user-friendly decentralized network, that keeps mining even for the small guy profitable (mining is still rewarded!)
- The Block-Time was reduced by half to 15 seconds, which allows DigiByte transactions to outpace Visa txs threefold
- Its focus on the gaming sector offers a real-world use case which is building a strong relation to its growing membership base; e-Sport is one of the fastest and most innovative sectors nowadays with a fast rising user-base worldwide
- Its business connections especially to China; Microsoft tech went into SegWit
- Its well defined markets and its will to make the necessary efforts to find new outlets for creating niches they can deliver with new developed applications
Summary
By defining its role in the Blockchain space very clear, DigiByte has well established over the past few years. The niches that DGB has developed, its strong mining and gaming community and its fast and secure payment processing features are able to reach more users and stores that will accept DigiByte tokens in the near future, that will help DigiByte to grow on a much larger scale!
