Hello, everyone!

En esta ocasion andaba muy aburrido de tener la misma foto de perfil en todos lados, asi que voy a empezar a hacer ilustraciones que me puedan servir de foto de perfil. Me dedicare a hacer tres ilustraciones con el fin de decidirme por cual cambiar. Mi foto de perfil se origina de un dia en una clase de dibujo gratuita ofrecida por un muchacho llamado Nino Mesarina, al cual recomiendo bastante ya que considero que es uno de los ilustradores mas capacitados de habla hispana. Asi que intentare hacer algo mas deliberado.

This time I was very bored of having the same profile photo everywhere, so I'm going to start making illustrations that can serve as my profile photo. I will dedicate myself to making three illustrations in order to decide which one to change. My profile photo originates from one day in a free drawing class offered by a boy named Nino Mesarina, whom I highly recommend since I consider him to be one of the most qualified Spanish-speaking illustrators. So I'll try to do something more deliberate.

Primero empezamos con el boceto, en donde quiero hacer que tenga una postura excéntrica. Tanto como lo soy yo, y una caja tapándole la cara por mi torpeza e introversión -y escentricidad.-

First we start with the sketch, where I want to make it have an eccentric posture. As much as I am, and a box covering his face because of my clumsiness and introversion -and eccentricity.-

Llegamos a poner los colores bases. Esta ves llene todo con la ayuda de la herramienta lazo, la cual me permitió sin duda tener una base mas homogénea, y sin tanto rastro de trazos. No es que ese tipo de detalles me desagraden, solamente que quise experimentar un poco con las herramientas y ver que tipo de tecnicas me son mas eficientes.

Ademas, si se fijan hay un pequeño gradiente. Los gradientes siempre ayudan a que los colores no se vean tan planos y aburridos.

We get to put the base colors. This time I filled everything with the help of the lasso tool, which undoubtedly allowed me to have a more homogeneous base, and without so much trace of strokes. It's not that I dislike those types of details, it's just that I wanted to experiment a little with the tools and see what type of techniques are most efficient for me.

Also, if you look there is a small gradient. Gradients always help colors not look so flat and boring.

Despues añado un fondo, y le añado algunos detalles para que no se vea tan plano.

Then I add a background, and I add some details so that it doesn't look so flat.

Ahora añadimos las sombras. Aquí empiezo a ver que a lo mejor mi técnica de sombreado de ropa no es la mas efectiva, y que tal vez debería de plantearme el hacer cosas distintas. Nota mental: Investigar mas sobre pliegues y sombreados.

Now we add the shadows. Here I'm starting to see that maybe my clothing shading technique is not the most effective, and that maybe I should consider doing different things. Note to self: Research more about folds and shading.

Después añadimos la luz, y aquí es cuando me empieza a gustar de verdad el como es que va quedando. Mi tipo de iluminacion hace parecer como que sea algo magico, no se si compartan mi opinion.

Then we added the light, and this is when I start to really like how it turns out. My type of lighting makes it seem like something magical, I don't know if you share my opinion.

Y junto a los detalles de la caja (detalles que no aclarere que significan) El dibujo se puede dar por finalizado. Creo que hasta cierto punto refleja un poco mi caracter, pero no estaria seguro si seria un candidato a remplazar mi foto de perfil. En todo caso, fue divertido de hacer, y estoy encantado de compartirlo con ustedes.

Nuevamente, este dibujo fue hecho en Krita y a sido un gusto compartir mi dibujo con todos ustedes. Hasta la vista, y muchas gracias!

And together with the details of the box (details that I do not clarify what they mean) the drawing can be considered finished. I think to some extent it reflects my character a bit, but I wouldn't be sure if it would be a candidate to replace my profile photo. In any case, it was fun to make, and I'm thrilled to share it with you.
