I am student of History, I say this because I am always fascinated with what has happened in the past because I will like to link it to present events to find out how much the pattern will repeat itself

Since Steve Jobs introduced the I-phone to the world in 2007. Society have come to be very dependent on smart phones, and with all amazing piece of technological Innovation, we Imagine how we ever lived without It
Our phones are always within our reach on a daily basis. It is one of the things people reach for when they wake up in the morning. It serves as a device to pass out boredom with games and it also serves as a portal to other Humans via the Social Media gateways
Over the years however the Smart Phone in collaboration with Social Media have been said to greatly shape Human Behaviour. Most believe that the thing that was meant to make us feel connection ends up causing more harm than good
Most of the relationships we have online are largely superficial, there is nothing that really bounds us with most of the people that we Interact with on social media.
Communication is a two way thing, speaking and listening. For us to have really conversed with a person we must have talked to and listened to them. And social Media makes it impossible to have hard communications with people. The ability for someone to ignore a text for two days and reply whenever we want is one of the downsides of social media
When we send a text to someone and fail to get a reply, our Imagination goes into action, and different reasons why the person failed to reply the text starts going through our mind, and most times what we have conjured up turned out to be false. This also ends up affecting how we interact with the person in future
So I am asking this question
Is Technology Changing Or Exposing Us ?
Were we this way deep down and the technology just revealed it or were all these issues listed caused by the Technology itself ?
