DIYHub is a curation initiative aiming to support creators who love crafting, making things from scratch, home & gardening. We have many passionate and talented creators who love sharing their projects and works with us.
This new series is all about these awesome creators. We will have them sharing with us their experiences in their journey, how they started to get involve with what they are doing now, what are the challenges they face and how they overcome those challenges. And maybe share some tips so we can learn together.
If you have any questions you would like to ask our creators, you are also welcome to drop us a comment here at this post or in our Discord.
How to get featured in one of our upcoming interviews?

1. Please introduce yourself with a few sentences.
My name is Dayana, my Hive username is dayadam, I am Venezuelan and I am just 10 months in the blockchain.
I am a dreamer, simple woman, who likes to do good without looking at whom, I like to create and give the best of me to teach and offer a beautiful work, with detail and the best finish, the best that my hands can give with all love and affection.
2. Please explain what your craft means to you.
That God has given me the gift of creating, for me it represents a blessing, since it gives me the joy of putting my imagination to fly day by day, it has given me the opportunity to undertake, to go ahead by myself and the best thing is that all this knowledge that I have managed to obtain throughout these years, I am pleased to share it with other people so that they can also take advantage of it in the best possible way.
For me the craft of manual art is a source of joy, enthusiasm, progress and prosperity.
Creating with my hands has been the best thing that has ever happened to me.
3. What or who inspire you to start crafting?
In my country for many years we have gone through a very difficult economic, political and social situation, despite the fact that I graduated from university in the field of administration and marketing mention, I had to look for alternatives to get ahead, rethink the future vision I had in the labor field, perhaps I thought at first to work in an office, But having gone through these hard times helped me to know that I had the treasure of creating in my hands, that eventually gave birth in me an inspirational muse to become independent and give me something better, to teach through my art a wonderful world, in which I can focus on other people to defend themselves, imparting my knowledge and creativity to others, either to make crafts, to use personally, to give or sell.
In short, the situation was my source of inspiration and I'm not ashamed to say it, and I really thank life for it because it has led me to develop myself and help others.
4. Have you ever thought of giving up crafting?
No. For the rest of my life, as long as God gives me health and the ability to create, that is what I will dedicate myself to.
If I have in my hands this beautiful gift, which has given me so much and makes me happy, why give it up or waste it. You have to go ahead with what you consider to be your best way of living and what fulfills you fully.
5. In which communities do you post and why (except DIYHub)?
Since I started in Hive I already had the vision of what was going to be my personal brand and my focus, I have excelled throughout these months in the part of the crafts and I will continue to do so, in my beginnings I started in a nice community called HiveDiy which received me with the best support and continues to do so, but as my manual and artistic approach is more than everything in the development of accessories and jewelry, some time ago was born a new community called Jewelry that cordially invited me to be part of them and as the niche I usually handle is that, do not hesitate a moment to join, I have received great support from them and we have formed a nice family of hivers, so I usually find myself among these communities.
Another one of the communities in which I am public, although less constant is streetart, I love everything related to street art and I like to capture graffiti to give value to all those artists who do this great work.
At other times sporadically, I participate in other communities, in contests, initiatives or in relation to a topic that really catches my attention. The rest is and always will be my crafts.
Today you made me the invitation to join your community, I am very grateful for the invitation and support, there I will be sharing the best I can give of my creations.
I wish you the best of success in your project, may we grow together and become a beautiful family of artists and creators of wonderful content.
6. What kind of other content do you enjoy the most on Hive and why?
Undoubtedly all content related to art, as an artist that is my passion and therefore I love everything related to it.
Of course in Hive there is room for everything and you come across wonderful content in various communities, I like to appreciate writings, videos, food, pets in short I like to review content in general.
7. Please name three users who inspired you during your journey in Hive.
In the short time I have been on Hive I have met wonderful people and it is quite difficult to choose only three, I have a huge list of great content creators, I have received constant support from many people and I am very grateful for that.
Among that big list I will take the boldness to mention four people who I admire, they have supported me and have been a source of inspiration for me for the excellent content they share, they are born artists and we must give honor to those who deserve it, among them are @irenenavarroart, @chacald.dcymt, @fixie and @gaboamc2393, I recommend you to look for their content, you will like it a lot.
8. What is your advise to others who would want to start their crafting journey?
First of all, I tell them that it is a wonderful world in which there are no limits to create, we can start from the smallest to the largest, using any type of materials, recycled materials that we have at hand in our home, or acquired.
We must have perseverance, dedication and not be undermined by anything. Any process of entrepreneurship is sometimes not easy, but if we do not set out to achieve our goals.
We can all learn, in my case everything has arisen under my own inspiration, without having to resort to courses, just looking for ideas that are born in me or observing the good work of other people.
If you want to be part of this world of crafts, do it, without any obstacle that stops you, we all have art in our hands, we are able to create unimaginable things, everything is in the love, passion and affection with which we do it, let out that muse that inspires you, let your imagination fly.
