Good news to all Chelsea fans for the successful reduction of transfer ban. Chelsea was handed a ban by FIFA for some misconducts in the signing of youth players.
Shortly after that time, Manchester City were found guilty of the same offence, but there case seems to be taken lightly by FIFA compared to that of Chelsea.
Chelsea decided to take the case to the Court of Arbitration for Sport to file an appeal and now it's good news for them as they have been cleared by the Court of Arbitration of Sport to sign players in January. Actually, their transfer ban was reduced by half by CAS after finding Chelsea to be guilty of breaching two of their regulations on youth players.
A statement given out by Chelsea said: "The approach taken by FIFA to this case has been deeply unsatisfactory, not least as FIFA chose to treat Chelsea entirely differently to Manchester City for reasons that make absolutely no sense to Chelsea.
"Chelsea respects the importance of the work undertaken by FIFA in relation to the protection of minors and has fully cooperated with FIFA throughout its investigation.
I say congratulations to all Chelsea fans for this welcome development. The team should be made more stronger in January with some signing prospects to come in.
