Racism is a form of superiority complex that exists in every society.
The person claiming superiority is simply declaring himself a winner without a contest. You don't need to prove anything except that you belong to a race, nationality, color, family name, religion and so forth which you think makes you superior.
The Hong Kong Chinese probably believe they are superior to the Singapore Chinese; the Singapore Chinese probably believe they are superior to the Malaysian Chinese.
The Indians in north India believe that they are superior to the Indians in South India. The rich north Indian thinks he is superior to the poor North Indian. The Indian of a higher caste thinks he is superior to an Indian of lower caste.
The Americans think that they are superior to all other nationals.
The French believe they are superior to the British. The British think they are superior to the Asians.
The Muslims believe they are superior than all other people. Likewise the Christians believe they are better than all other people.
Nazi Germany thought they are a superior race and gave themselves the license to kill others whom they believed to be inferior.
It is arguable that the degree of racism in today's society is far less than, say, 30 years ago.
If you are spiritual there should be no place for superiority in your thinking. They are mutually exclusive.
