But in the second half, French striker Alexandre Lacazette managed to equalize for the Gunners, in the 50th minute, from a header, taking advantage of the cross of the German star Mesut Ozil.
Niall Mopai, Brighton's winner in the 80th minute, was snatched from a header to the left of the artillery keeper.
