Sentient: Able to perceive and feel; having the capacity to experience subjectively.
Our mission is to shed light on the only thing that matters – feelings. We strive to see the world as it really is – a place of many sentient beings, whom we care deeply for. In order to reduce suffering and increase joy, our behavior, technology, politics, and science have to change profoundly.
The word "sentient" expresses the most important division in the world, between the ones who can suffer or feel joy, and the things that cannot. This is not an arbitrary division such as race or color; but rather one which has an inherent value which paves our goal - reducing suffering in the world.
