today after my morning blog post i want to put together a number of two hour sprints in which i’ll work on some OBS theme sources live on @dlive — i’ve already posted my blog post for the morning and i’ve hopefully recorded a few more episodes of #tenminteach are recorded and uploaded already.
as much as i would love to just stream some gaming at night i don’t have the power and equipment to do that at the moment so i might as well record my process and pipeline of setting up OBS — i’m chomping at the bit to get stuck in with the setup, something about decentralised that makes it more accessible, with youtube and twitch you have so many other bits and pieces they want you to be aware, streaming live on dlive is actually easy.
as a freelancer is can be really isolating to work on something so intensively, it consumes you in a way that’s hard to explain to people who don’t work in the same way. if you have ever been in a coffee shop and seen creatives beavering away on a laptop you will understand what the life of a digital worker is, it’s a smattering of hours plugging away at iterating.
throughout the day i’m in different moods, i have different energy levels and i’ve tried to package these six hours around that. today i want to be accountable for my two hour sprints by sharing them live with you while i’m working, i’ll get sidetracked, i won’t always be conversing, i’m trying to find the in between of community, discussion and making.
the blockchain of steem really feels like the perfect ledger for building out trans media projects, that is projects that spread over different platforms, different groups of people, different timezones, how digital storytelling now has a potential financial rewards, a storage medium in the form of IPFS (dtube/dlive) all of these things just seem to gel together.
