It’s a gloriously hot day here in England today and I wanted to get some videos done this morning before the real heat starts to take hold and I can’t film anymore, we rarely get this kind of hot weather and I don’t have air conditioning so we have to make it work early on! - degrees are rising! :)
Ok, today we are gonna look at using appear.in to host a video chat inside of our live stream for @dlive, you could do this for anything really where you needed to stream but I prefer this method because for the person who is calling in they can just click a link and be live, no account needed — you can even download a mobile app so they can ‘call in’ from wherever they have an internet connection easily.
I’ve only showed you how to do it with one person today but you could have up to 12 people on screen if you had a appear.in pro account and manage all the speakers controls, webcams off, audio off and on and even have a ‘greenroom’ style chat off screen just for the people who will be on your live stream — I’m hoping to have a few people on from @steemhunt (the hunters) in the coming days or weeks to talk about their hunts!
If you have any questions, just drop me a comment or message and I’ll try and help you get this working on your machine — on a windows machine you don’t need the sound source because you can select ‘what you hear’ which basically means anything you can hear on your machine you can send out to your live stream.
Hope you like the video!
