Week 16 (December 2018)
Welcome to Domains in the Wild. In this series I post images of domain names that I've spotted out and about in the real world. Then I write a bit about what I think of each one. It's easy to miss domain names, but they're all around us and play a key role in a companies branding, messaging and design. Spotting them and taking a photo is sort of a fun hunting game to play while you're out and it takes very little effort once you start looking for them. Once you start to play, you will start seeing domains everywhere without even trying.

Without further delay, here are the domain names that I found in the wild recently...
The Domains
Wondering around Seattle snapping pictures when I find them, I've got another batch of sidewalk signs with domain names this week.
Let's take a look at the domains...
GreenLakeChildCare.org
The first domain up is GreenLakeChildCare.org. This domain belongs to the Green Lake School-Age Care Program. They provide a before and after school care program here in Seattle.
As far as the domain goes, it's alright. It's not an exact match of their name, but I think their name is a bit too long so this works as a shorter, easier to remember domain name. I noticed that a few 3 or 4 letter .org options are NOT available so this domain is probably best for them. The .org seems appropriate too.
TangeloHealth.com
Next up is TangeloHealth.com. This domain belongs to a chiropractic and sports care rehabilitation center with 3 locations in the state of Washington and 1 location in Portland Oregon.
I think this domain is pretty good. A tangelo is a hybrid fruit of a tangerine and a grapefruit. This company is a hybrid of chiropractic care and sports rehabilitation. They are unable to get tangelo.com as it's registered. Adding the word 'health' after tangelo works for their field. They could have also considered TangeloCare.com which is available.
PacificNorthwestShop.com
Finally, we have PacificNorthwestShop.com. This domain belongs to a Gift Shop and Website offering products made from the Pacific Northwest.
I would prefer a shorter domain, but it's probably perfect for them. It fits for what they are doing and it's an exact match of their name.
