Today I draw using my free hand and mongol pencil into my sketchbook. I was so curious of drawings that added highlights like a glow in the dark tone. I don't have any idea what is material to be used so I just grab my faber castle highlighter.
Before adding those highlights, first I draw the base. Using mongol pencil, I sketch the whole face and hair around it's head. I used brush for skintone without adding any charcoal powder into it. I've used a rough paper so the texture was already there. Next I draw the eyebrow, eyes, nose and lips.
I used a flat make up brush to contour and add tone to the skin particularly to cheek bone and nose bridge. At this point I add just a dot of highlight to the earring which I think looks pretty.
Then I add highlight to the edge of the skin that looks ridicilous because I cannot blend it. Like any marker eventually dries fast to the paper so no chance of blending it. I know it didn't look so nice but I guess it's a good start for now.
I wanted to know what exactly the materials for doing those kind of art. My next try would be better than this. Experiences still the best way to teach us. Thanks for dropping by!
XOXO,
Rachelle
