“Paso Diablo” & "Mina Norte" Coal Mines in Venezuela with Open Pit Operations. Orica has Bulk Emulsion Plant and Operations structure to deliver Blasting Services on site. “Ciudad Piar” Ferominera is the largest Iron Ore Mine in Venezuela, with Open pit Operations. Orica another ANFO Plant and Operations structure to deliver Blasting services in site.
As Maintenance Manager of the plants, Installations and equipment I was responsible of the Predictive & Preventive annual Maintenance plans as well as its execution. Assisting in specification requirements of new and used purchases of equipment as requested, Provide training to maintenance staff in Mobile Manufacturing Unit certification and Plant maintenance, Conduct performance reviews annually and periodically as required by company guidelines. Responsible of the Cost & Investment annual plans for the above Plants. Responsible for the improvement and optimization of Reliability Assets Program focused on Root Cause Analysis.
As Project Manager I managed, on average, around 6 to 8 external company contractors, but as Maintenance Manager I had the following organizational structure: 2 Maintenance Supervisors, 6 Mechanical Maintenance Technicians, and 4 company contractors for hydraulics, instrumentation and electrical tasks.
