Broken
I'm still VERY jaded writing this one today after what was a colossal last few days (and indeed months leading up to this weekend) - my brother's stag do. So I thought I'd share this little snippet of my track called Broken which is out on the Comeback EP on @emalliance's label - EAR.
Stag Do
17 hungry and thirsty fine, young, male specimens needed to give my brother a final "lads lads lads" send off before the big wedding event in November in the form of a "stag do". I'd been given best man duties along with "Care", our life long family friend and we had pretty much everything wrapped up before I went travelling in April.
So there could be no possible way anything could go wrong. Flights were booked, accommodation paid for, activities were pretty much planned for our long weekend in Berlin. Sorted.
Disaster Darling!
No! Not sorted! Thanks to British Airways making a colossal blunder 2 weeks before the stag weekend - "Do we strike, don't we? OK yes, let's strike" - the stag team were left in a pickle with the only available flights being 1.5x more expensive at an airport much further away. As an aside, the lads did really well re-booking everything in such a short time frame, thanks for sorting it out you legends!
No sooner did British Airways announce the strike on our flights (by sending us an email that had clearly stated in the subject line, "Your Flights Have Been Cancelled") they then sent an email 15 hours later saying, "Oh no sorry, we made a total cock up and we're not striking anymore, you can come back on the flights again"... after we'd already re-booked the flights. You....lovely people!
Not only this but everyone else's budget had been wiped out so we had to live a little off the cuff with limited budgets but in the end, every one had a great time and they said it was well organised. Most importantly though, my brother, the stag, loved it and really enjoyed himself... from what he can remember!
"Vegas/Stag" Rules
What happens on the stag do stays on the stag do though sooooo I can't really say too much. Let's just say the costumes we got him were pretty funny, many drinks were had and I won't be in charge of the kitty ever again! At least we all came back in one piece... well... we transported our bodies back from Berlin... kinda...
Now it's just the best man speech to prepare for November but I think I need a drip and deep cleanse to get rid of some of these toxins from the last weekend first :D
