Celebrating the completion of our newest record (engineered by yours truly and mixed by none other than John Congleton) I thought it might be relevant to revisit Rehumanizer, the last labor of love we slaved over in 2016. "No Cave" is, as the title might imply, heavily inspired by brilliant longform kraut/psych/jazz Chicago staples Cave (see video below) .... albeit with our own five minute synth windup flavor setting up the rest of the record. This track develops into some serious krautrock motorik drive about halfway though and finishes in explosive fashion. I always harbor reservations about starting an LP with such a slowburning build, but writing with Maserati has built in me a certain receptiveness to repetition and trusting the listener that has greatly benefitted my compositional work outside of the band.
