22nd of April is Earth Day. It's a day put aside to remind us about the danger of plastic and it's effects to the environment. We are called to make a pledge to reduce our use of plastic. Plastic pollution is poisoning our oceans and land, injuring marine life, and affecting our health!
I have to admit I for one have not really thought much about this or took it very seriously.Maybe it's time for me to make a change. Maybe we should start to realize that every bit we do, no matter how small can help to make a change to the environment that WE live in. It's our environment, it's a place we call our home..let us not forget that.
I really hope that by writing this down I too can make a change and take this matter more seriously. This is basically a note to self. So I'm gonna start by saying no to plastic. I try not to use it much but there are times when I still do, as I'm too lazy to carry a bag around. So that has to change! Let's all look after our environment, not just the environment but everything in it. That includes treating everyone in it with respect too.
Let's love our earth and all life in it! Let's put aside all our differences and work together to keep our earth free from all pollution...environment pollution and also the pollution of being selfish by not caring or helping out one another. I know this sounds so cliche, but there is no other way to put this.
