"Ansiedad" is a song that every Venezuelan has heard at least once in life, is part of our cultural heritage, a piece full of elements of Venezuelan music but also of Mexican music, which by that time, in the year 1955, was heard in the movies, golden age of Mexican cinema. The same "Chelique" Sarabia tells us what were the ingredients of this musical theme that already has more than 800 official versions in the world.

"Ansiedad" es una canción que todo venezolano ha escuchado almenos una vez en la vida, forma parte de nuestro acervo cultural, una pieza cargada de elementos propios de la música venezolana pero tambien de la música mejicana, que por aquel entones, en el año 1955, se escuchaba en el cine, época dorada del cine mejicano. El mismo "Chelique" Sarabia nos cuenta cuales fueron los ingredientes de este tema musical que cuenta ya con más de 800 versiones oficiales en el mundo.
"Ese tema nació en el año 55, justo el día que cumplí 15 años. Para mí, esta edad es la primera esquina de la vida. En ese entonces estaba en Caracas, estudiando la Escuela Técnica, por lo que esa primera esquina la crucé solo. Mi compañía en ese momento fue una película mexicana, protagonizada por Libertad Lamarque y Pedro Infante, llamada Ansiedad. Presumo que en honor a la compañía que me dio el filme, hice esta canción. Tomé el título, mas no el tema, mezclé un poco la soledad, el deseo de estar acompañado el día de mi cumpleaños, el recuerdo de una novia que había dejado en el pueblo pero, sobre todo, la ansiedad propia de la edad. Ese día me sentía muy solo..."
