Must confess, I'm pretty happy with the way this turned out.
The greater challenge I submitted myself to here was, whereas the majority of my productions contain a great deal of complexity in the details, this was stripped down to work with the more basic elements. As DaVinci once said, "Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication." That is advice I've had difficulty following in my productions, so this one in particular felt like a step forward, having placed restrictions on myself to keep the sketch tight.
I kinda struggle to accurately define my music lately - which may be a sign of being on the right track. I have no fucking clue what genre this could rightfully be placed in, but the end product is dope.
Kinda bouncy with the huge kick, semi-symphonic with the massive contrabass sample (which oddly sounds more like a horn), and that semi-sexy, rolling vocal tone... all-in-all, its just rather FUN.
(And that section in the middle with the synth lead coming in like an extraterrestrial morse code, juxtaposing with the tone play on the snare... THAT is definitely going to evolve into a project of its own!)
Without further ado...
Enjoy the experience!
