60 instruments in 30 seconds Synth-phony. What you can say if given only half a minute? I always like Adam Audio challenge to create a soundtrack for a picture. Attended it past 3 years, hope they make it again. Usually in November time frame.
They looking for/rewarding a soundtrack. Hans Zimmer style. Why movies have to be “loud and epic” and you know, something we all get used to already? Of course it’s good sound and style, but cannot tell the difference anumore if it’s Pirates Of Caribbean or another “standard” Hollywood hit.
To rebel a llittle, I always play something with a groove, which excludes me from winning chance, hehe (not as I am great and deserve a win, but they always select a “soundtrack”). I wish to see more movies with dynamic rhythms and tunes you can actually remember :) Tarantino does it. And Batman with The Offsping was a good soundtrack, no?
Anyways expressing yourself in a short is fun challenge. Try it :) hope they will conduct 2018 challenge again.
