This is the song I was recording when I wrote last week about my recording efforts. I wrote it a while ago and it all happened as the lyrics describe. I used my Tanglewood #ukulele. I did the original recording with it plugged in, but was not totally happy with the sound, so did another take with a microphone and mixed them together. I then added percussion using my old djembe and a wooden frog. I asked a couple of friends for feedback on my mix and then used some reverb, compression and EQ to address what they brought up. I think the sound is not too bad. I will admit that the song speeds up. I tried using a metronome, but had issues keeping in time with it. On the next one I did I set up a drum loop that worked better for me.
I plan to record more of my songs in order to compile what will be my first album. I do not expect to make money from it (apart from what I make on Steem), but may put it on Bandcamp for free download or contributions. Of course if a record company came knocking I would be open to negotiations.
