There is some pretty cool news I wanted to share.
There was a nice surprise during our first ever Steemit Meet Up in Paramaribo, Suriname. We actually got a visit of a couple of local television stations that wanted the cover the event.
One of the state owned Television stations, ATV, actually dedicated an item of their evening news on Steemit!
The interview and news item are in Dutch, so English subtitles are included.
To be honest I’m really excited that we got some tracking right of the bat, but on the other side, we are a relatively small nation with limited resources (basically you need a foreign credit card or bank account to actually be able to buy any cryptocurrency).
Would love to hear your take, whether its feedback on what I said or ideas how to built the Surinamese Steemit Community, it would be very welcome.
