The Reds did it! They have taken 3 of 4 from the division leading Milwaukee Brewers this week.
Today was definitely a nail bitter. Luis Castillo pitched an amazing game but was forced to leave the mound when a rain delay iced his arm. He had little backup from the offense but fortunately Yasiel Puig was able to get Jesse Winker in early so the Reds could gain an early lead.
The Reds will continue their home stretch against the in state rival Indians in a two game series this weekend. The Reds are going to need to once again split this series with the incoming AL Cleveland team. Picking up a sweep in the series of course would be preferable but a split will at least keep us well on the path towards the playoffs.
