Sonny Gray sent a bunch of Cincinnati Reds fans home with LaRosa's Pizza last night when he sat 12 batters down via strikeout. Gray went on to pitch 8 innings of scoreless baseball giving the Reds offense the chance to bring it home with 3 runs.
The Reds have now won 4 of their last 6 games against the top teams in the NL Central. They're still ranked last in the division but are only 4.5 games back from the lead. I've been saying they would need a minimum of 2 wins in this series and they've now delivered. They'll face the Brewers again today at 2:10pm EST for a chance to bring the deficit down to 3.5 only 5 days before the MLB All Star break.
