Thank you! From sitting down to sketch out th designs and dimensions to finish; I would say about a week and a half. This was the first time I ever managed to pull off hand-cut box joints (which still took a lot of clean up after), so with more practice and less do-overs that time would be shorter. Woodburning is something I'm trying to get proficient with and it feels very awkward at first. A good way to see what it's like is to take a pencil/pen and hold it like you would normally write your name, then move your grip back on pencil/pen about 3 inches and try to write or draw something. Things like wood surface/grain also throw curveballs, but you can make some nice effects with it. My work here is a joke compared to masters of the medium.
I always say that when you feel the drive to try something, take advantage of it and give it a shot. Skills are never a bad thing to have and inspiration is often fleeting.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
