Keeping it ultra real today because that’s what vlogging used to mean to me back in the day and I want to keep up with that and maybe inspire or give confidence to other men at the same age of me to get things checked out instead of avoiding it.
So I was booked in to see the doctor today, I’ve had this nagging little dull pain in my backside for a while and I wanted to know what it was, having bought a new seat for sitting for long periods at the computer and that kinda half sorting it out I just wanted to ‘vocalise it’ to the doctor.
In the end we did an external inspection (bit awkward) but he couldn’t see anything worrying, even so, he got me in for a blood test on wednesday and once that comes back we will see where we are at and then do an internal inspection.
I told him I’d kinda gone down a black hole of internet searching and self diagnosing so with all the worry of men at 50+ going for scans like this I just wanted to start the journey now kinda thing because it was something that I noticing and just wanted to ‘check out’ — I think it’s important to go with that gut instinct on things, the more data you have the better I feel.
I wanted to talk about it today because I can’t shake it, mainly because now I’ve set the ball in motion I’m kinda on edge about it — I don’t like doctor, hospital and blood things so yeah, not excited about that but you gotta do what you gotta do in life right when things are kinda off-set.
I hope by sharing that in the video today that might kick you into touch to have a bunch of things that are on your mind to deep dive into a little bit more so you can move yourself forward in life also.
