As temperatures rise, the pond is finally warming up during the few hours of sunlight that reach my domain. After this winter, I'm seriously considering tagging along with the geese in search of a warmer winter residence next autumn.
With half-frozen paddle feet over the past months, inspiration was nowhere to be found, and writing posts here on Hive felt like a chore. I had hoped to find some feathered friends here - admittedly at least 100 times harder than in the lush vegetation of a real pond - but also an investment. Even though the promise of a monetized Facebook seemed appealing, as in other aspects of life, the rich get richer while the little ducks get shafted. The price of Hive seems to be in freefall, not to mention all the other tokens.
I've come to the conclusion that this social media kerfuffle is still just something that steals our time for a few cents in return - definitely not something with a promising future. As you can probably tell, I’m feeling a bit burned out.
Keep your feathers greasy and your beak held high.
Until next time,
Your delightful pond duck
