I pass along the many empty storefronts on garnet avenue and see the 'for lease' signs in the front windows - several knock off fashion boutique stores have gone as well as this store pictured in the photo below with the skulls in the window that was a motorcycle themed place of business. This has happened w/ many businesses. Toys R Us is not an actually store anymore- only online now. Is this how it will be with online shopping totally usurping traditional in-store activities. Are there some things we don't want to buy online or is the convenience just too seductive for the old fashioned way to survive?
However I did note that bars are in ample supply in my 
beach neighborhood - I guess you cannot get drunk virtually at least, not yet....
