So, I came across an article about a project called DREAMR just last week, I thought it was another marketplace platform that connects skilled individuals with people that require their skills. But my curiosity wouldn’t allow me to just pass it as such. I did in-depth research about the project and will be sharing my findings with you on this article.
It is no doubt that many people, especially the younger generation have invested so much on their personal development and are looking for opportunities to make a living out of it. Truth be told, there are a lot of platforms out there that provides opportunities for skilled individuals to earn from their skills (this is why I further picked interest in the project), but not many do this as exceptionally well as DREAMR does.
DREAMR
Dreamr is a blockchain-based social networking platform that does more than just connecting people with dreams (skilled individuals) to reality (people who need their skills as a service). It is also an ecosystem that can allow for a user to Dreamweave (co-dream) with other users to form super networks around a particular project or goal that they are passionate about. Users can launch crowdfunding campaigns around their individual and shared dreams, monetize their dreams through a P2P service marketplace and earn reputation points that translate into equity ownership by pursuing their own dreams and adding value to the dreams of others.
HOW IT WORKS
Dreamr uses the already familiar social networking experience across various platforms but reconstructed it into an actual networking platform for users to build a network of supportive connections that are aligned with their dreams.
- DECLARE: Users are directed to formulate their dreams using the in-built content creator by filling out a form with relevant dream information, they are then directed to create their Dream Connect slide by creating a video, uploading images or videos from phone gallery or creating a text slide.
- CONNECT: After a dream has been declared, the platform actively assists in networking by:
- Listing the users’ dream on Dream Connect and making it discoverable and shareable by other users.
- Using tags input by the user, the geographic location of the user and their algorithms to give relevant suggested connections to the user daily.
- Allowing users to share their dreams with already established networks.
- CROWDFUND: Users can crowdfund around their individual and shared dreams but before being able to attach a crowdfunding campaign to their dreams, they must attain a certain number of connections on the platform.
- EARN: Users can monetize their skill using the P2P marketplace that enables them to list their skills as service for purchase or trade.
WHAT ELSE?
Users can Update dream posts with additional content that will attach itself to the original post as a medium for storytelling and to keep their new networks engaged. All users will be able to contribute updates while the original poster retains admin control in the case of users that Dreamweave (co-dream).
As with various social networking platforms, users can share Moments (ephemeral contents) with their network. This can be seen as carrying their network along the journey as they proceed. These moments will only last for 72 hours before being erased.
Using Memories, Users’ moments (posted, tagged in, and updates) are collectively saved to their profiles.
Perhaps, another interesting aspect of the DREAMR platform is the Messenger function. Dreamr will house a robust messenger, secured by end-to-end encryption which will be very useful for building new relationships and keeping in touch after a connection is made.
The functionality of the messenger includes:
- Text
- Voice recording
- File sharing
- Group chat
- Video Chat
- P2P Payments
- Camera

The DRMR token sale was initially slated to take place on the 8th of august on the LAToken Exchange but has been postponed with a detailed update to follow shortly. Stay tuned here
