To educate is to teach wisdom, first, because wisdom is the first and most excellent science, and second, because wisdom teaches us to be assertive people when we are faced with problems, the wisdom is the knowledge of the correct means to live. How do we solve life's problems coherently without wisdom? As the proverb says: "The wise have eyes in their heads, while the fool walks in the darkness", Ecclesiastes 2:14.
Educating means forming the thought and the way of perceiving the world in people. A person who forms his thought on heresies (false teachings), for example, the law of retaliation, cannot direct his life to a good port. The wisdom, as a science or as a spiritual gift, teaches man to seek the most excellent and the best.
The Bible teaches us that when King Solomon, perhaps the wisest man in the ancient world, ruled in Israel, not only the Kingdom of Israel prospered and reached its greatest splendor and glory, but also the people of this nation were instructed in the mysterious wisdom, and in this way, everyone could live content and happy. Wisdom is expansive, progressive, benevolent, and blesses the one who gives it and the one who receives it with a well-disposed heart: "Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm" Proverbs 13:20.
This is why the Book of Ecclesiastes whose author was King Solomon: "The words of the Teacher, son of David, king of Jerusalem" Ecclesiastes 1:1, as a final reflection, the Book explains to us that Salomon was a person very dedicated to knowledge and education. What better than a man who loves the truth and the virtue, to instruct and educate common and simple people.
With these words, the book ends by showing the dedication and love of the wise to the true teaching:
"Besides being wise, the Preacher also taught the people knowledge, weighing and studying and arranging many proverbs with great care. The Preacher sought to find words of delight, and uprightly he wrote words of truth.
The words of the wise are like goads, and like nails firmly fixed are the collected sayings; they are given by one Shepherd" Ecclesiastes 12:9-11.
