Education is the process of a human being absorbing something useful in their life. The education process begins at birth. This educational process becomes deeply embedded in a human soul until it becomes a living character. Man is created from the soul and the mind and has many sides. It is shaped from the educational environment and experience.
In education there are two types of education. There is education that promotes character education and there is cognitive education. In Western countries cognitive education is seen to take precedence. While in the east of character education more raised. There are often differences of opinion about these two focuses. Some call character education more important and some say that education that focuses on cognition is more important.
So clearly it can be said that these two educations are the same but the fulcrum is different. Both types of education have more value each. For example in the west more open and in the east more gentle in expressing opinions. There is a line or norm that is held. These two things are very good. But which one is better? Let us examine further.
Actually the two focus of this education can be used simultaneously. But now these two pedestals must be viewed in terms of needs. I personally think that both types of educational support can be used simultaneously in a country but with different time spans. For example, school students should be taught ethics and how to behave. Characters are planted in this phase. But at the time in college or college cognitive education should be significantly reduced.
In that phase, the concept of education must be more perfect. Because if only put forward one concept then there is one thing missing. Harmony in an education can be lost if only focus on the point. Education is a learning that reflects all aspects. Man must become better with education. Man should not be arrogant with the education he has.
