Success with #GCSE exams is dependent on two factors: building the foundations through two years of diligent classroom work, and good preparation for the exams .

Make sure that you understand everything you are taught in class - ask questions if you don't .
Take notes during classes. Make sure they are legible - they will form the basis for your exam revision. Supplement your classroom notes by looking through the #syllabus and textbooks for extra information .
If you understand the subject, homework should be easy; if you find it too hard this could be a warning sign that you need assistance .
YOU CAN NEVER BEGIN REVISING TOO EARLY. Work out how much time you have for he exam and - using the syllabus - what you need to revise. Draw up a revision timetable .
Revise in a quiet, distraction-free room, taking breaks every 20 - 30 minutes .
Try to revise each topic at least 3 times before the exams - build this into your #timetable. The more you revise, the more you will remember. Working through past exam papers can prove helpful; use examiner's reports to read what they see as ideal answers .
When you begin the exam, concentrate and read the questions through several times, before you begin writing your answers. If applicable, see how the marks are allocated among the questions: don't devote 50% of the exam time to a question that is worth 20% of the marks .
Don't simply recite your knowledge, but apply what you have learned to the question. Be detailed and concise, and - particularly in science subjects - show how you worked out your answers .
Always check your answers before the end of the exam .
*Tips :
When you create your revision timetable try to leave 2 weeks blank before the exam in case you get behind.
When revising, put the subjects you like least near the front of your timetable .

Don't put off your revision - tomorrow never comes!!
Don't believe your friends when they tell you they haven't been revising - every #student revises but some don't like to admit it .
