Old vintage episode of the Phil Donahue show educator and homeschooling advocate John Holt.
Holt one of the Pioneers of the homeschooling movement coined the phrase unschooling. As a former Navy man and Yale graduate if he can working as a teacher and educator becoming disillusioned by the system he started to advocate for reform and later would become pessimistic that reform was even possible. This would prompt his urging of families to begin home-schooling their own children and subsequently he penned several books on the subject.
