The Department of Information and Communication Technology (DICT) Philippines in collaboration with the Philippines Software Industry Association in the Philippines (PSIA) is having a BootCamp for the Visayas Region which was being held last August 11, 2017 in Ordex Building, Eastern Visayas State University, Tacloban City, Leyte, Philippines.
We are very lucky to be one of the participants of the said camp because we are able to know the basic step in creating a project that will help our students develop their ideas to the current trends of our technology.
I am sharing my knowledge and learning about ideation and how do we use the design thinking process to develop a startup product.
We have so many questions in our mind how to start a project that would be feasible where many people can benefit.
Where do I get Product Ideas?
- Experience - Personal
- Environmental - Observational
- Culture - Anthropological
Ideation as a System. The environment with the idea inventor or the idea creator. It is just also a step in the Design Thinking Process(DTP).
The Design Thinking Process courtesy of DICT. MVP means Minimum Viable Product.
How to Ideate your Product Ideas?
- Empathize - Who is the target customer?
- Define - What are their problems?
- IDEATE - Brainstorm for a solution (product) to solve your customer’s problem(s).
- Prototype - How will you prototype your product?
- Test - How will you test your product?
These are the basic questions that will guide the students to do the right Idea of their System. The first step where everyone should know in creating Start-Up ideas in order to become successful in their field.
Based on my experience teaching Software Engineering Subjects, the hardest thing to do is to come up an idea for their system with Create, Read, Update, and Delete (CRUD) implementation. There are three members of the team that will help build their ideas.
The team composed of the following:
Programmer
- Developer
- Techie
Project Manager
- Visionary
- Leader
- Managers
Designer
- Branding
- User Interface
With our help as a Mentor and Facilitators of Learning our tasks are the following:
- Direction
- Advice
- Leadership
- Training
- Inspire
- Coach
- Support
- Motivate
We have learned something from this particular camp that will lead our students to something great in the future. If this topic will help you, please comment, resteem, and upvotes.
Thank you very much. God Bless...
Sincerely yours;
