The fountainhead is a movie published in 1949 and is filmed in black in white. Even knowing the movie was not incredibly interesting to watch, the message to entrepreneurship is clear as innovation is the main focus of the main characters Howard Roark and Frank lloyd. The main character is criticized for his constant belief in innovation to the artechical world everyone who criticized and ridiculed him for his strive to advance tried their hardest to ruin roarks career. His main enemy was a social architecture critic named ellsworth toohey who was a simplistic man that would disregard change and wanted to destroy roarks career for his own benefit and his advance his political agenda. After many failed attempts in the architectural work force switching from firm to firm and even opening his own he settles a firm called granite quarry owned by a man named francon who also has a daughter named dominique. Dominique and Roark have an interesting relationship and become intimate which later on in the movie doesn't seem to be consented on both ends of the relationship. Ellsworth uses his social power to get one of roarks clients to sue him because of his neglect towards the historical styles of architecture. Due to him losing the case in court, Roark is neglected in every stage of his life; his so-called lover Dominique leaves him for another man and directs all of roarks clients to her newly married husband. Towards the end of the movie Roark gets an account to work on a house but he did not know that he was being set up by toohey which means he has the desire to end roark for the rest of his life. Roark's conditions for working on the house was that nothing was changed and he had full responsibility which didn't last long as Keating allowed changes to the housing. Roark becomes enraged and blows up the house and is arrested after the arrest publicity hit the scene and people were revealed for the wrong doings against roark and toohey is fired from his job and roark is not convicted of the crime he commited. Since roark had been neglected he received a job from wynyard and is directed to design a skyscraper.
