As much as I want to give up my Facebook account I can't. My friends, family and spiritual support groups are on Facebook and even if I managed to get all my main crew on here, I will still be missing my Spiritual Support.
What do I mean by "Spiritual Support"?
This is my network of psychics, channels, activists and energy workers, who on a daily basis, some by the hour, provide energy readings and forecasts.
One of my biggest hurdles with depression in the past was this question.
"My life is blessed and abundant and I have nothing to complain about, so why do I feel this way?"
It wasn't until I realised I was an empath that the lightbulb went off.
You see the mind fuck was in the discrepancies.
I knew my life was great, I knew there's nothing on this Earth I wanted that I didn't already have (I'm a simple person guys, I don't need much.) But yet here I am feeling the weight of the world in my heart.
None of it made sense.
"What the flying fuck is wrong with me?!"
= Thus the occasional suicidal tendencies.
My support groups on FB helps me understand what's going on. And since I haven't been able to convince them to join us on Steemit and I'm seeing the signs on here, I really feel called to share what I've learned here.
So today I'd like to focus on the empaths as a lot of what's going on right now, I'm sure, is impacting them more than others.
WHAT ARE EMPATHS?
Empathy

the ability to understand and share the feelings of another.
According to this there are 6 types of empaths:
Emotional Empaths
Feeling the emotions of others.Physical/Medical Empaths
Feeling the physical symptoms of others.Geomantic Empath
Feeling the energy of locations.Plant Empath
Feeling the energy of plants and their needs.Animal Empath
Same as plant empaths but with animals.Claircognizant/Intuitive Empath
Claircognizance is the ability of clear knowing.
As with all gifts, just because someone else's empath abilities work a certain way doesn't mean yours will too. Some people will be able to feel one aspect stronger than the other, some feel one but not the others and some feel all.
At the end of the day, it's important to understand that everyone's gifts operate uniquely and I believe through practice and training one can fine tune and expand their abilities over time.
For example: I am experienced with 1, 2, 3, 5 & 6, but since I have not had much contact with plants (gardening). Prior to this year all I could do was feel the energy they projecting, and sometimes the energy of a place, but in terms of knowing what they need or which plants to put together I'm only learning about that now.

In 2012 we had one of the most significant planetary alignments of our age.
You see, the 2012 galactic alignment marked the end of the Mayan calendar. And while mainstream media cried "End of the World" it actually represented "The beginning of a new era."
The "New Age" or Spiritual community has been on the rise in the decades leading up to the alignment and by the time Dec 21 2012 came there was an army of us awake, aware and dedicated to ushering in the new age.
Some would say the many global meditations/prayers that occurred on the day may have even saved Earth from disaster, but that's another trip down the rabbit hole.
Since 2012 I have seen a dramatic increase of empaths and gifted psychics rise up and claim their powers. Spiritual and holostic approaches are on the rise and more and more "new age", spiritual, alternative ways of healing, being and communicating is making it's way into mainstream media.
On December 21 2012 the whole plant shifted, and it continues to shift with our next big event happening in 2020.
Those who may not have considered themselves empaths previously might very well be empaths now. Though in most cases most of us have always had this ability from a very young age.
BEING AN EMPATH
Being an empath, believe it or not, is a gift. I won't lie, it's a crappy gift, but it's a gift nonetheless.
Being an empath can be a mine field especially if you don't know you're one, or you do but you aren't grounded.
Here's the thing.
Being an empath makes you feel more than what's yours. Being an empath allows you to know more than what people/things want you to know. Being an empath is feeling more, absorbing more, knowing more.
So now you're asking yourself questions like.
How do I really know?
Why do I feel this way?
(And queue whatever else you decide to ask.)
And that's the whole issue here. How do we really know what we're getting is legit?
It's kinda nuts if you think about it, because some times you just know. You don't know how you know, or what exactly the specifics are but you know something's up. Straight away it sounds like I need to be committed right? Can you see how how being an empath can be misinterpreted as a mental disorder?
Now, I'm not saying go see a psychic instead of your doctor.
I went through the standard system first with social workers, counselling, psychologists, anti-depressants, valium, rehabs - the whole lot, FOR YEARS.
But it wasn't until I began learning about spirituality, crystals and psychic abilities that my life turned around because then I had the answers. Sure it came with more bloody questions but at least I knew I wasn't completely crazy.
HOW TO COPE
All of this is a lot to deal with. My psychic class teacher always told me to ground myself as a way to keep my shit together.
Grounding enables us to remain steady amidst the storm. It helps us discern which is ours and others.
As empaths it's important that we do not take on what is not ours, and so grounding is essential.
There are a lot of things wrong on this planet. A lot of people suffering. As empaths we are open to all of that and coming from experience, if we're not careful it might end up multiplying the pile we're already sitting on.
When you're grounded you get to know how YOU feel on your own. And when you're accustomed to knowing how YOU feel, it's easier to know when something comes in that is not yours.
When that becomes difficult (I have issues grounding) I have a blanket approach which is to turn the darkness into light and send it to myself and out to the world.
Why?
Well, we can't very well go around to people saying I know you did this and that. 1 we could be totally wrong. 2 we could be totally right. Either way it doesn't go down well. (Yep, I've tried this route). On the odd occasion, when people are ready for the message it goes according to plan and you end up feeling like you finally did the job right. But most of the time, it's best not to say anything and let the Universe take control.
From experience the best thing we can do for ourselves and others is to try our best to transform the darkness into light and shower people with loving energy. The darkness has the tendency to swallow all hope. The longer we entertain it, the more it grows. If we hold on to it for too long it will be harder to get rid off. (Trust me on this one).
So feel it. See it. Acknowledge it. Thank it for it's lessons. Then turn that shit into light. Tumble it in your heart until it is pure and filled with all the love and hope and good wishes you have and send it out to yourself and the planet.
Another way of dealing with it is through creativity and self expression. This enables us to process what we are feeling instead of internalising and agonising over it.
Always release it. Whatever it is, let it go before it swallows you whole.
To those with dark thoughts at the moment
This post is for you. I can feel you all and I'm worried and scared.
I was there a couple of weeks ago. I mentioned energy shifts in a previous post but what I didn't share was my 48 hour melt down. It was serious and it was bad. I haven't had an episode like that in a while and it hit me like a ton of bricks.
And to my shame, I admit, I indulged myself and wallowed in earnest. Playing heart breaking songs that fed the the melancholy within. Until I miraculously snapped out of it. (This has never happened before.) It was as if someone flicked a switch and I was given a new way of seeing and approaching situations I was having issues with, and I ran with it.
A day after I found myself scrolling down my feed on FB only to find others going through the same thing and people talking about planetary alignments.
I have various ways of dealing with energy shifts and extreme energetic periods and still I was close to spiralling. I am concerned for those newly awakened souls with no idea they might be susceptible to these shifts because they are empaths.
Please use one of my coping techniques or find your own. No matter what it is important you release the energy. Even if you don't think you're an empath, release that angst anyway.
CELESTIAL ALIGNMENTS 2018
Believe it or not, celestial alignments even numerology makes an impact on the overall energy of the planet. I was a skeptic at first but over years of observation I found it to be a true and reliable source of general prediction. You see when major shifts happen, it affects a lot of the planet. Being an empath means we get to pick up on these shifts, wether we pick up the collective energy of the people going through changes, or we pick up the energy of the planets - no matter what we all get a whiff of something incoming before it arrives.
What we have right now with the Super New Moon in Gemini is like we are going through a Mercury retrograde (Mercury is Gemini's ruling planet) and so all forms of communication is under the spotlight. This time can also be rife with misunderstandings or perhaps being able to get all the information that was previously lacking in the past.
What it ultimately is, is a possible time of empowerment (if you choose to approach it that way). It's a time for us to make necessary changes for our lives, to assess our situations honestly, remove old ways of thinking and being, and take steps of every day to consciously manifest the lives we are meant to be living.
June 13 was only the beginning. We will be in a super charged time until the end of August where there will be 3 eclipses from now til the Full Moon in Pisces in August 28 2018.
There's going to be a lot of changes all around us in the next couple of months so buckle up peeps and stay with me here. It could be a rough one or it could be the most amazing transformational time of your life.
There's a lot more to this period than I have shared in this post and I'm hoping to compile all my findings later this week to help guide us through the next two months.
