I remember very well the moment I found out I am an Empath.
I was in the midst of a major spiritual awakening, my heart was racing and everything was collapsing around me.
I was intensely searching online for an explanation of what I was feeling, and trying to make sense of all the craziness, when I found an article about traits of an empath.
As I read every single one, it was like my whole life was being revealed to me: how I always felt other people’s emotions and energy so deeply, how I always had this urge to help people in emotional pain and how I always put other people’s well-being ahead of mine.
It was one of those A-HA moments you have in life and I felt a huge relief to realise I was not crazy or weird after all!
All my past experiences since childhood suddenly made sense. It was literally like the veil was being lifted.
But, at the same time, I remember thinking: there must be a deeper reason for being an empath, more than just feeling the pains of everyone else and feeling exhausted for the rest of my life.
I then embarked in a long journey of healing, self-discovery and going deeper within me than ever before.
Basically I’ve had to peel all the layers of what wasn’t my true self and letting go of many things, patterns, people and limiting beliefs.
My life completely transformed and I’ve realised this journey is not about being perfect or achieving perfection, this is about fully expressing yourself in the world, just as you are. Your true self.
As I was living more and more from the heart and connecting more with my intuition, I’ve started to realise my life purpose too.
I’ve always been in a quest all my life to find my life purpose, just to realise suddenly that that quest was my life purpose.
I’ve always had this call, this urge, to help others raising themselves into a higher vibration and create an amazing life. In other words, to be a lightworker and be of service.
But, as we live in a you first Universe, I’ve had to do this work on myself first, so I become fully grounded in my new vibrational space.
This journey and what happened to me is happening to many of us empaths in the planet right now. Hearts are being activated and veils are being lifted.
Many empaths are awakening to the realisation that it was never their purpose to live a life feeling the pains of the world and getting exhausted, depressed or drained all the time.
The real reason for us to be empaths is to be of service to others by transmuting dark energy into light.
This work is so important because the world needs it in order to raise the vibration of the collective.
But as empaths, we can only come to the point of being able to do that transmutation work and help others when we do that for ourselves first. When we go within, face all the darkness, release it and become empowered.
When we get to that point in our journeys we still feel the emotions and pain of others, but we start to feel it outside of our body instead.
Many empaths become healers, coaches, mentors, readers, etc, but at this point in order to help other people we can just “be”.
Just by being ourselves and living our life carrying the light inside of us, we are helping everyone that comes in our vicinity, even if we don't say a world, because our aura will do the work for us.
That's how powerful we empaths are!
This is a beautiful place to be in life because instead of lowering our vibration by letting other people's emotional pains get us down, we stay grounded in a higher vibration and hold that space for others to step up.
This is a completely different place to be than before. This is when we can help others and also live a happy life with no limitations whatsoever.
The gift of being an empath is precious and so important.
At this time of human evolution, the world needs grounded empaths with open hearts who become powerhouse lightworkers.
