If you are anything like me in your desire for autonomy & liberty, disgust with government, and the boot-lickers, and worry some about how far things may go, maybe you are looking for ways to keep or take back personal agency if/when things continue to get worse? I have a few ideas to share:
(1) Physical Health
This is an important aspect of independence and power. Examine your diet (I scored type 2 diabetes via veganism and cured it with about 2.5 years of keto; do what works best for you) and exercise. It can be tempting to sit on your ass snacking and consuming media. I know! I'd love nothing more than to get high and play League of Legends or Planetside 2 all day while eating non-stop. OR... Gradually create new habits! Buy cheap weights off Craigslist. Ride your bike. Make your long walks to places other than your fridge. Which leads to...
(2a) Self Defense
Create a "fight club" in your area. OK so it can be a safer practice than the film showed. I've done it in the past and am doing it now. Our goal is to train without injury, learn how to fight, take a punch, tweak reflexes, balance, flexibility, get into better shape, etc. This kind of activity will increase your testosterone and reverse the "sissification" you may be experiencing (I did) by eating too much/many foods that impact your testosterone/estrogen balance, cause muscle loss, and increase attraction to Marxist idealogies (semi joking). If you want help creating something like this, from marketing to the actual practice, tap me as a resource.
(2b) Learn strategy
Train in this, tactics, etc. Find and join a group in your area or pay an expert. Luke Rudkowski - @wearechange (https://WeAreChange.org) provides a service like this. I intend to do it. Heck even certain video games can help you learn some strategy and tactics but don't neglect real life training!
(3) Grow food
And/or raise chickens, etc. Duh. There are a gazillion free books and videos out there on how to do this.
(4) Weapons
Another duh: Get weapons. Especially the kind that go pew pew. Get ammo. Train train train.
(5) Strength in numbers
Create and nurture connections with like minded people! Get to know your neighbors. If you are a "typical libertarian" (here bear with me as I generalize), you don't necessarily value relationship skills (or have them) as much as some other philosophical mindsets. In the times we are in, it is VITAL to have the ability to form and nurture relationships. Interdependence. We all need people to "get our back," provide us with the thing they are good at and we are not, mates, etc. This is something I've been teaching and refining for years. I do free local and online EQ training. Join https://www.meetup.com/VoluntaryAustin and https://www.meetup.com/Austin-emotional-intelligence.
