When you talk of frustration and you cry, I smile sheepishly cause you've not heard mine. @starstrings01 has given me an opportunity to share my story.
It might not be fraustrating now but I've found an easier way to tackle situations like this.
Today I'm going to share an experience of mine that happened while in secondary school.
If you've noticed on some of my pictures I wear glasses. Started wearing it when I was 6. It's hereditry so it's not a new thing.
We were just three that used glasses then in my class and we felt on top of the world especially the fact that our VIP position was at the front.
Things were going on well for me all through primary school. Even times I'd mistakenly break my glasses I won't go back to school until I got a new one.
It usually took up to a week or less cause I must undergo eye test before given another set of lenses.
Time for secondary school came and off I went to the boarding house. I was given two set of lenses, should incase one breaks I have another to use.
My parents warned me seriously that I shouldn't spoil or misplace anyone at least till I come back home for break.

Back then in secondary school, boarders were also allowed to go home for up to a week if anything happens to their glasses.
Six weeks went by smoothly and I still maintained that same glasses. Don't know if it was the warning that got to my head or not, all I knew was that I maintained the glasses.
After a whole year I was due for a change. I went to the optician that has been prescribing lenses for me for check up.
There he promised that if a whole year passed and I don't spoil my glasses he'd buy me any pair of shoes of my choice.
I really don't know if it was what go to my head but I was really excited. I got back to school and doubled my efforts of taking care of my glasses.
One fateful Monday morning after assembly, I was climbing up the stairs to my class room, I collided with one of my friends and in that collision my glasses and my books I held on my hand fell.
My glasses didn't break then. I rushed down stairs to get it but and unforseen passerby mistakenly stepped on it and crushed it.
She didn't know what happened until she saw me running towards her. She stood there about asking me why I was running until I broke down in tears explaining what just happened.
She felt really sorry for me and took me to the principal's office who immediately signed me home.
I had already written down every single detailed explanation of what happened to my glasses for the optician. That night I got home I slept hoping that he would believe me.
The next morning I was called to my parents room. They started by telling me that the man really had intentions to buy me a shoe untill they dropped another bombshell.
Fire gulped his office few weeks ago. According to his relatives when he heard of it slumped and died. Autopsy reports showed that he died of heart attack.
I sat perplexed, tears rolling down my eyes. How? Why? When? All these questions just roaming about in my head.
I couldn't believe what just happened to my. OMG my eyes I said. Who will be my optician now? Who will buy me a new pair of shoes?
It was just so unbelievable for me. I couldn't go back to school till after a week. At the end of the term when results came out I performed poorly.
