You can also send Steem to Binance and sell it for BTC and buy EOS on Binance, honestly it takes around the same effort and Binance is for if you want to also be able to buy certain coins, and Bitshares has many coins too but not all the popular coins Binance has. But Bitshares is decentralized, and Binance has plans for a decentralized EOS based version of their exchange like Bitfinex has EOSfinex, similar to that, but for now, Bitshares is the best bet for being 100% safe decentralized & Binance is just another centralized exchange, no matter how great & trustworthy they may be for now, things can always change. I trust them now and love their lack of a need to do much KYC AML, they let you signup with just a Phone and Email and give a 2 BTC a day withdraw limit, great for most people. But Bitshares has no such limits & it will always be free like that. Bitshares even has a referral program if you pay for some sort of lifetime membership that gives you less fees. Bitshares also has Witnesses like Steem & can change.
