EOS rocks.
And I'm obviously not the only one to think so.
But if you're new to it, there are some things you need to know. Currently, EOS is still in its ICO (Initial Coin Offering) phase. And the ICO is built on ERC20 tokens. These are Ethereum-based tokens, for those of you who don't know.
On June 2, these tokens are due to be replaced by the real EOS tokens. The blockchain tokens actually built to support the EOS operating system which will revolutionise, well potentially everything.
So what you need to know #1 is that you need to put your EOS in a registrable location, and register them. There are a number of steemit articles around showing how (just search 'register eos'). EXODUS also makes it super easy, I'm told.
Don't forget to do this. If you don't, you will wake up on June 2 and your tokens will be worthless. Seriously. Absolutely worthless. Don't forget to do this. Do it now!
What you need to know #2 is that Everything changes after launch, and we, as token holders will have responsibilities to help ensure the launch goes well (and, in case you're thinking of skipping this part) that our new EOS tokens maintain (and hopefully exponentially increase) their value. Don't panic. There will be oodles of info on how to do it.
But I do suggest, if you are thinking of HODLering your tokens beyond launch date, that you educate yourself a bit about what's going on and what to expect.
Thankfully, there are a couple of awesome You Tube channels set up to assist. I thoroughly recommend you check out:
Eos Go: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC0fwWI2RBBtEIYIP6fH68XQ
The Cryptoverse: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCLnQ34ZBSjy2JQjeRudFEDw
Both are fantastic sources of information. Get into it. You'll discover why EOS is so good, and has all the potential to be incredibly awesome.
And don't forget to have fun.
